Matasano RFP Responses

Get an RFP Response or Competitive Bid from Matasano

Thank you for considering us! We want to make it as quick as possible to get Matasano involved in your project planning. Here’s how:

  1. Call Us. You want to talk to Dave Goldsmith, (617) 501-3271. You can email us, rfp@matasano.com. If you’re just considering a project, or it isn’t budgeted yet, call anyways. We’ll explain our work and recommend options. We’re also happy to help you design a formal RFP. We can build one for you same-day.

  2. Send us an RFP, or request a proposal informally. We’ll respond within a business day with our availability and an ETA for a response. It usually takes 3-4 business days for us to complete a formal RFP; if your time frames are tighter than that, let us know.

  3. We’re going to have questions. You may not have all the answers handy; that’s OK. We can give you a clearer proposal if we know:

    • Who’s the technical contact (for questions about scoping), and who’s the contractual contact (for questions about terms and conditions)?

    • What’s the RFP due date? What’s the project due date?

    • What are the RFP milestones? Here’s a typical progression:

      1. RFP circulated

      2. Due date for respondent questions

      3. Due date for responses

      4. Due date for proposals

      5. Decision date

      6. Terms and conditions finalized

      7. Project commences.

    • What are the evaluation criteria? Besides “ability to execute” and “filled out RFP correctly”, are there any particular technology or process items you want to see?

Competitive RFPs

Matasano excels in competitive engagements. Are we competing with other firms for your project?

To help you compare vendors, here’s a very terse summary of our competitive strengths and capabilities.

If you’re still designing your RFPs, here are some questions we’d like you to consider adding.

Who We Are

Since 1994, Matasano researchers have had founding roles in the first security research labs, discovered new classes of vulnerabilities, secured operating systems, and shipped large software projects. We’ve been behind some of the first breaks in SAN technology, virtualization, and financial protocols. Our work has been featured in Network World, eWeek, Forbes, Macworld, Wired, and the Washington Post, and at conferences ranging from Black Hat to Gartner.
